Rajveer gripped the steering wheel tightly, his deep voice filled with authority as he spoke into the phone.
"Reyansh, this case is getting messy. The underworld knows we're digging too deep."
"That's the point, Rajveer," Reyansh, Asia's top criminal lawyer, replied coolly. "You chose this life, and now you're at war. But be careful-one wrong move, and even I won't be able to save you."
Rajveer smirked. "Who said I need saving?"
Just then-CRASH!
His car jolted forward as it collided with another vehicle.
"Damn it," Rajveer muttered, running a hand through his hair.
The driver of the other car, a young woman in a white coat, stepped out, anger radiating off her. She marched up to his window, knocking sharply.
Rajveer sighed, rolled it down lazily, and without a second glance, pulled out a wad of cash, shoving it at her face.
"Here. For your loss. Now, get out of my way."
The girl's mouth fell open, disbelief and fury flashing in her eyes, but before she could respond, Rajveer hit the gas and sped away.
---
At the hospital, Rajveer pushed through the doors, his focus solely on his Dadi, who was admitted there.
"How are you feeling, Dadi?"
"I'm fine, beta, but where's my report?"
His expression darkened. The report. Left it in the car.
Without another word, he turned and walked briskly toward the parking lot.
Unknown to him, the same doctor girl-whom he had so generously compensated for the crash-was now trailing behind him.
He reached his car, pulled open the door, but before he could react-she tripped.
Instinct kicked in. He turned to steady her, but instead of balance, chaos unfolded.
She grabbed his tie.
He lost his footing.
And just like that-they crashed to the ground together.
His face landed dangerously close to hers. So close that-
Their lips met.
Time froze.
Her eyes widened in shock. His mind blanked for the first time in years.
Then-"What the hell!"
She shoved him off her, pushing him away with all her strength.
"First, you destroy my car, and now you're kissing me?! My brother is a lawyer, you jerk!" she shouted, her face flushed with anger. "Do you think money can solve everything?" And Kiara leave to her cabin.
Rajveer was still recovering from what had just happened when she stood up, huffed, and stormed off.
Before he could react, he heard a familiar voice-one that sent a different kind of chill down his spine.
"Did you just fight with her?"
Rajveer turned to see his Dadi, standing there with a knowing smile.
"I don't know anything, Rajveer, but I need my bahu happy!"
Rajveer blinked. Bahu?
She didn't even know the girl's name.
Hell-even he didn't know her name.
And just like that, his world turned upside down.
She stormed in, snatched her file from the ground, and glared at Rajveer. Standing on her toes to meet his height-despite being just 5'3"-she spat, "Don't come near me again!" Before he could react, her palm connected with his cheek in a sharp, resounding slap. The entire room fell silent.
Without sparing him another glance, she turned on her shoes and marched to her cabin. But the fury inside her hadn't settled. As soon as she entered she take lollipop from drawer and start sucking.
Rajveer stood frozen, shock rippling through him. No one, no one, had ever dared to even raise their voice at him, let alone touch him. And this girl... she had just humiliated him in front of everyone.
His grandmother sighed, watching the scene unfold. She turned to him and said, "She is very angry. Make her happy."
Rajveer barely heard her. His cheek burned, but something deeper stirred inside him. A connection-raw, intense, and utterly unfamiliar.
The moment his grandmother left, his lips curled into a dark smirk. His eyes gleamed with a dangerous determination.
"I'm going to make her mine," he murmured, his voice laced with promise and vengeance. "And I will make her life a living hell in this birth-so much that she will beg for death." ______________________________________________
Naira and Mishti (her best friend) were sitting together in their usual last bench in the classroom, whispering and giggling while the teacher was busy writing something on the board.
"You won't believe it, Naira," Mishti said, leaning closer with excitement. "Rahul has a new girlfriend!"
Naira rolled her eyes and scoffed. "Seriously? Again? He changes girlfriends faster than the school canteen runs out of samosas."
Mishti burst into laughter. "I know, right? But this time, he seems serious about her. He was literally calling her 'his forever' yesterday!"
Naira smirked, shaking her head. "Forever? Please. I don't believe in love, Mishti. In fact-" she dramatically placed her hand on her chest as if making a vow- "I will never love anyone, even in my seven lives!"
Mishri gasped playfully. "Never? Are you sure?"
"Absolutely," Naira declared. "Love is just a distraction. I have better things to do than waste my time on some guy."
Just then, their teacher interrupted their little gossip session. "Naira, go downstairs and bring some chalk."
Sighing, Naira got up, still shaking her head at Mishti's teasing smirk.
She goes to staircase
Everything happened in an instant-her balance wavered, her heart skipped a beat, and before she could even process it, she was falling. Her arms flailed, trying to grab onto something, but there was nothing to hold onto. The air rushed past her as she tumbled down, and then, just as suddenly as she fell, she landed with a small thud on the last step.
She barely had time to recover when she heard a voice.
"Are you okay?"
Her eyes, which had been squeezed shut from the fall, fluttered open-and that's when she saw him.
A boy stood before her, holding a few books in one hand, while his other was stretched out toward her. His concerned gaze was locked onto hers, his deep brown eyes soft and kind yet holding something mesmerizing. Naira felt her breath hitch.
For a moment, she forgot about the pain in her ankle, the embarrassment of falling, the reason she was even here. All she could focus on was him. His hair was slightly tousled, as if he had just run his fingers through it. The way the sunlight streaming from the hallway window touched his face made him look almost unreal. His lips were parted, waiting for her answer.
But Naira couldn't say a word.
Her heart was racing-not from the fall, but from the way he looked at her. Why is he so cute? she thought, feeling her cheeks grow warm. His eyes... they're so beautiful. His hair, it's perfect. Who is he?
"Hey... are you okay?" he asked again, concern deepening in his voice. His outstretched hand remained there, waiting for her to take it.
Naira swallowed, trying to find her voice, but nothing came out. Instead, she slowly reached for his hand, her fingers brushing against his warm skin. The moment their hands touched, a spark ran through her, making her even more flustered.
